IPOH, Jan 24 — The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) has coordinated investments worth RM4.34 billion in Perak and created 7,122 jobs last year, further strengthening the state’s socio-economic recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Its chief executive, Datuk Seri Jebasingam Issace John said the success was achieved through the implementation of high-impact projects and strategic investment initiatives that had developed a conducive infrastructure ecosystem to revitalise the tourism sector in the state.

IPOH: Pihak Berkuasa Pelaksanaan Koridor Utara (NCIA) telah menyelaraskan pelaburan bernilai RM4.34 bilion ke Perak dan mewujudkan 7,122 peluang pekerjaan pada tahun lepas sekali gus terus memperkasakan pemulihan sosioekonomi negeri ini daripada impak pandemik COVID-19.

Ketua Eksekutif NCIA Datuk Seri Jebasingam Issace John berkata kejayaan itu dicapai melalui pelaksanaan projek berimpak tinggi dan inisiatif pelaburan strategik yang telah membangunkan ekosistem infrastruktur yang kondusif untuk menggiatkan semula sektor pelancongan di Perak.

ALOR SETAR, Jan 31 — The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) has exceeded its initial investment target for Kedah last year of RM8.6 billion, by 22 per cent to RM10.52 billion, while realised investments have exceeded the initial target by 138 per cent, to RM4.17 billion.

Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said in terms of job creation, the NCIA surpassed the initial target by 164 per cent, to 5,280 jobs.
