TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION (T&I)

The objective is to encourage R&D activities and cultivate T&I culture in developing supply chain ecosystem in NCER Thematic Industrial Park of NCER high impact strategic project / location.

Aspects	Description
Project Scope	Technology: Automation & Digitalisation Adoption i. Project involve adoption of automation, digitalisation and/or IR4.0 for productivity improvement and process optimization. ii. For CAPEX (e.g: tools & equipments, software, licenses (software / technology / technical assistance), hardware, technology solution & consultation etc.) or Innovation: R&D&D&C i. Project involve Research, Development, Design and Commercialization for new products / technology. ii. Product must be patented with IP registration. iii. For CAPEX (e.g: tools & equipments, software, licenses (software / technology / technical assistance), hardware, technology solution & consultation etc.) and/or iv. R&D expenses (IP development, patent registration, testing and commercialization).
Project Criteria	Project must have significant impact to move up the company’s position in the value chain. Project must be self sustainable, create spillover effect such as job creation, high skilled talents, vendor development, quadruple helix approach etc.
Funding	Matching grant, 50:50 ratio, max capped at RM500,000 per project. Disbursement: i. 25% - project start ii. 25% - achieve 50% of project milestone iii. 50% - project complete All approved applications are subjected to administrative deductions. Administrative expenses of 5% of the grant amount are chargeable (the amount will form part of the total grant amount). Application fees for each and every request for amendments to the Letter of Grant (change of scope, extensions of time, etc.).
Agreement	Project duration: Maximum of 24 months. Agreement period: Maximum of 30 months.
